Andrey Mitenev

a Moscow-based sculptor and artist, resident of the workshop in Bobrov Lane, curator of "Fortoshny Exhibitions" and co-curator of the "Nomare Museum of Modern Art" (b.1974)

In 2017, Andrei was convicted under Article 228 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation and spent 2.5 years in prison. In the pre-trial detention center and in the colony, Andrei drew and described his cellmates and employees, daily routine, the progress of work and the organization of prison life, his own feelings and thoughts.

Photos were made during print production of limited edition work named "the Cube" (2021).
